Taking the Protect Young Drivers movement to Hampshire

Today I had the honour of speaking at the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Road Safety Summit, hosted by Police and Crime Commissioner Donna Jones and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary.
From parish councils to police, fire and highways, the room reflected what real partnership looks like.
I was invited to share the story of Protect Young Drivers - a website that has quickly become a movement, bringing together bereaved families, professionals and decision-makers who believe we must do more to protect young drivers.
If we are to achieve the Government’s target of a 65% reduction in those killed or seriously injured on our roads by 2035, this is exactly the kind of regional leadership we need.
Every county should host a Road Safety Summit.
Only by pulling together - locally, regionally and nationally - will we deliver meaningful change.
